One of the NHS’s larger Trusts, found itself struggling to meet the demand of Urology Services within its hospital sites. Initially, the Trust contacted the local community hospital for support. After some time, it became clear the local community hospital required further assistance with the Trusts backlogs.
As pressure increased, the local community hospital contacted Your Medical Services for help.
Due to pre-existing and successful campaigns, both in the Trust and the local community hospitals, Your Medical Services was chosen to deliver a successful, flexible and cost-effective Urology campaign.
Your Medical Services began to help the Trust tackle their Urology patient backlog and their limited capacity for Diagnostic Urology procedures due to staffing pressures.
Your Medical Services partnered up with local community hospitals, primarily within the Midlands region, to deliver local NHS consultant teams to the Trust. The partnership enabled Your Medical Services to provide a continuous stream of consultants on weekdays, evenings and weekends.
For the next 18 months, Your Medical Services team of consultants helped the Trust identify and solve capacity issues, clear patient backlogs and re-align the Trusts capacity. The team of consultants also viewed 20% more patients per session, cutting down patient waitlists and increasing productivity within the local community hospital site.
