All Professions Career AdviceTo start, you’ll receive a phone call from your assigned compliance officer and an email advising you of the documentation we require to get you fully compliant with Your Medical Services. Some key documents to have ready are as follows:
Your Medical Services ensures candidates meet the high standards expected of a healthcare worker with their streamlined compliance requirements. We ask that you prepare the required training certificates outlined by your compliance officer so we can let you know if we can accept them at the beginning of your registration. If we can’t, we can send you a link to complete the correct module at your earliest convenience.
Please ensure that you have a DBS certificate issued within the past year or have subscribed to the update service with a DBS with the correct details matching your right to work documents. It is crucial that all the information provided is accurate. If there are any discrepancies, your compliance officer will assist you in obtaining a new DBS certificate. Having this organised during the initial stages of your registration process is essential to avoid delays, as the return times for DBS certificates can vary.
Another example would be your immunisation record—we require MMR, Hepatitis B, and TB evidence if you are working in a non-exposure-prone procedure role or MMR, Hepatitis B, TB, HIV, Hepatitis C, and Hepatitis B Surface Antigen evidence if you are working in an exposure-prone procedure role.
Your compliance officer is always available and happy to help you understand and complete the requirements, so please don’t hesitate to contact the compliance team with any questions or queries!
Organising your documents is key to guaranteeing a quick and streamlined process. My suggestion to all prospective candidates would be to create a dedicated email folder for communications with YMS and use this to keep track of all your documents. This level of organisation will streamline the process and get you out working.
Your compliance officer is there to help guide you through the process, so regular updates and questions are welcome. We understand you are very busy and are fitting in the compliance requirements around your professional and personal lives. Letting your compliance officer know when is best to contact you and which form of communication works best for you will ensure that the process is as smooth as possible.
If you foresee any delays in obtaining certain documents or have concerns about any part of the process, contacting us can help you find a solution more quickly.
Our compliance team are available from 8am-6.30pm so if you need help with any of the documents you need to send or have any questions, we’re here to help. We provide training links, a free DBS check, assistance with occupational health checks, etc. Please don’t hesitate to get in contact!
