How We Support Rheumatology Pathways

We collaborate with NHS Trusts to provide specialist expertise and additional capacity in key areas of rheumatology, including:

  • Outpatient Rheumatology Clinics: Supporting outpatient consultations for patients with conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, ankylosing spondylitis, and other autoimmune and inflammatory conditions. Our Rheumatologists and Specialist Nurses help Trusts reduce waiting lists and improve access to care for patients requiring long-term management of chronic conditions.
  • Diagnostic Rheumatology Services: Enhancing diagnostic capacity with services such as blood tests, joint aspiration, and imaging (X-ray, MRI, and ultrasound). Our Specialist Teams work to manage diagnostic backlogs and ensure that patients receive timely and accurate diagnoses, helping to prevent disease progression.
  • Treatment and Infusion Services: Offering support for biologic therapy infusions, DMARD management, and steroid injections, ensuring that patients receive their necessary treatments without delays. Our Rheumatology Specialists provide expertise in the administration and monitoring of these therapies, helping Trusts manage complex treatment pathways.
  • Post-Treatment Monitoring and Follow-Up Care: Assisting Trusts with follow-up appointments and ongoing monitoring to ensure the effectiveness of treatments and prevent complications. Our Consultants, Nurses, and Support Staff ensure continuity of care for rheumatology patients while alleviating pressure on in-house teams.

Our multidisciplinary teams, including Rheumatologists, Specialist Nurses, and Support Staff, work in partnership with NHS Trusts to provide efficient and high-quality rheumatology services.
